Pizza Display Sparks Illness - Great Wolf Lodge Water Park | Sandusky, Sandusky Ohio

3 years ago reported by user-zdnvk454 business

Great Wolf Lodge Water Park | Sandusky, Milan Road, Sandusky, OH, USA

4600 Milan Road, Sandusky, 44870 Ohio, United States

Took family to stay for 3 nights and first day ordered the pizza special which is pepperoni pizza with wings and 2 cheese pizza. Also ordered a sub as well. My oldest daughter ate the cheese pizza since she doesn't like pepperoni. Next morning around 1am she was sick vomiting etc... She was sick entire day and we stayed inside not knowing if contagious given circumstances of other illnesses going around. That afternoon she begun to feel better and looking back she only ate the cheese pizza which was left out in display area and our remaining order was in heat cart prepared. Person taking order wore gloves but never changed them and I recall them touching pizza to fit in box now looking back. Didn't think anything of it since wore gloves but they never changed them, not sure if they have shortage on supplies for that or not. Workers are forced to multitask. We don't want to see another family to waste time and get sick like ours did. Hope this saves atleast another family from having a terrible time and have good time at the park instead. I would advise not eating at the park and spend the time to eat off-site, we had ordered voucher card to never leave but will lose remaining of card nobody wants to eat onsite. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
