I have been eating veggie burgers (e.g., Morning Star, restaurant veggie burgers, etc.) for about 25 years, and eat 2-3 regular veggie burgers on average per month.
Then I tried the Impossible Burger. Each time, the same very horrible violent reaction. I had 3 instances of food poisoning from an Impossible Burger:
1. Ate one at a Burger King spring of 2021. Had sweats, chills, violent vomiting and diarrhea about one hour later for 3-4 hours. Very dehydrated, nearly went to hospital. “Assumed” it was an undercooked burger/ mixed with regular hamburger meat at Burger King , South Rand Road, Lake Zurich, IL, USA
2. Had one at a friend’s house early summer 2021. Same reaction … started with vomiting followed by diarrhea for 3-4 hours … almost went to the hospital I was so dehydrated. I knew then there was something not right with this so called “Impossible Burger”. I thought I was going to die.
3. I inadvertently ate a very *small* Impossible Burger described as a “Veggie Burger slider” at a nice event in Chicago this weekend. I thought I was eating just a regular veggie burger! Same violent reaction, vomiting then followed by diarrhea. Again lasted for hours, nearly went to hospital (but didn’t because of Lollapalooza crowd), severely dehydrated. A friend verified with the staff this was indeed an “Impossible Burger”.
If I were 85 years old this product would have killed me! Why is this product still on the market?? Surely a class action lawsuit must be in the works!! | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Chills, Sweating
