Burrito Causes Severe Vomiting - La Marqueta, San Juan San Juan

I believe it was a burrito there. My wife and I shared a meal for lunch and drank from the same water source. Then for dinner around 6 p.m. we ate Mexican food there. We shared chips and guacamole, and even shared a cocktail. But I got a carnitas burrito and she got something else with chicken. At 10;30 I was very tired and went to bed. But I couldn't fall asleep. I laid there until midnight when I felt like I needed to pass a bowel movement. Once I stood up I noticedy stomach was also upset. I went to the toilet and at first everything seemed regular, but then my bowels just became diarrheal, and I remained on the toilet with a sludge like stool coming out for at least a half hour. Maybe 45 minutes. Then as soon as I stood up I had a gag reflex and bent over the toilet and heaved a very small amount vomit. I heaved a few more times with only a little coming out and figured I should drink some water to make it easier to come out. I did that and vomited a couple times with a lot of food coming up undigested. I sat there for another half hour and vomited maybe two more times before I started feeling very faint and went to alert my wife before I passed out. As soon as I got to her and said her name I vomited a huge amount all over the floor, and then about three more times before I made it back to the bathroom. I drank some more water and felt like I would pass out again before vomiting two more times. Then it felt like it had passed, and I went to bed. But I've still just been laying here restlessly without being able to fall asleep. But I just took a sip of water and it feels normal. I have passed gas a couple times without worrying about diarrhea, and I don't feel like vomiting anymore. For now at least. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Gas
