Stayed 7/6-7/12 at majestic colonial. I will never go back. My kid was so sick we had to leave early. Food: this is my biggest disappointment. I understand that we were in a foreign country, but I can’t for the life of me understand how that’s an excuse for poor food handling. It’s a resort. We paid a lot of money to go. Not one employee wore gloves. One spoon for the whole salad buffet. One spoon for 5 dishes that had seafood, meat or dairy right next to each other. Meat was either extremely well done or raw. The resort doctor himself said that he does not recommend the cold buffet , to only eat foods when they first come out or are swapped out for new and never to drink the water. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting

My husband & I were there July 8th-17th and we got sick as well! On the 3rd day we got diarrhea & fever. Our whole trip was ruined! Got home and tested positive for salmonella. I am still sick. Day 17 with diarrhea. I am so sorry to hear about your child. It makes me so angry! I’ve been reaching out to the resort and the US embassy with no luck. Someone needs to address this issue!
