Ziti Meal Causes Illness - Olive Garden, Horseheads New York

5 days ago reported by user-jbrm5161 business

Olive Garden Italian Restaurant, Chambers Road, Horseheads, NY, USA

3288 Chambers Road, Horseheads, 14845 New York, United States

On January 7, 2026 I had salad, a bread stick and 1/2 of the lunch size five cheese bake ziti at around noon. A few hours later I left my mother at her home and I drove back to my place. I threw up a lot when driving. Once I got home I felt sick to my stomach. A couple of hours later I threw up again. It is all over my apartment and I do not feel good enough to clean it. On January 8, 2026 I am feeling very tired. When I try to do something I feel sick to my stomach. I just tried to stand up and I felt very dizzy. My mom ate the salad, a bread stick, and soup and she did not get sick. They also charged us for two coffees and we only had one. | Symptoms: Nausea, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Dizziness

Well let's think about it. You had the same food and only one of you got sick. Doesn't sound like food poisoning!

Hi, thanks for your comment. TIP: Foodborne illness doesn’t always affect everyone who eats the same meal. Individual factors like immune response, portion size, or which specific item was contaminated can influence who gets sick and who doesn’t. Reports like this help identify patterns when multiple similar cases occur, which is why sharing experiences is still important. Best, Iwaspoisoned Support.

It could be norovirus and completely unrelated to the food. This time of the year is brutal with viruses going around.
