BBQ Flatbread Illness Suspected - Panera Bread, Piscataway Township New Jersey

7 years ago reported by user-ptcpf935 business

Panera Bread, Centennial Avenue, Piscataway Township, NJ, USA

1333 Centennial Avenue, Piscataway Township, 08854 New Jersey, United States

I went to Panera bread in Piscataway, central nj to get a bbq flatbread last night during my break at work at 7 pm-8pm, aug 4 2018, and immediately after eating the whole sandwich, I started to receive severe stomach cramping that I assumed was just gas. When I had left work I was in pain and when I had gotten home I had started to vomit out what was left in me until I started to continually regurgitate bile or just violently dry heave. I knew something was wrong around 10:30 pm after getting home. The stomach cramping had gotten so bad I couldn’t stand up straight and began becoming weak, using all of my energy to gag. I was experiencing major fatigue and could not be comfortable in any position I tried to rest in, other than when I was running to the bathroom. It felt as if something in my lower stomach was sore and slightly burning. As time passed my condition was getting worse and I thought that this may be something more severe than just your average food poisoning as I was starting to get pale and experience a growing stomach pain, which is something I’ve never really experienced before. It felt as if my insides were becoming more sore and felt as if my stomach was having spasms as I was in pain. More or less I would say I felt the pain in my intestines. I had called my mom around 1130 to possibly take me to the hospital because of how sick I was progressively getting. She encouraged me to drink pineapple juice and try to vomit again to remove all possible contents from my stomach. At around 1230pm I had vomited one last time and had felt that most of whatever was in me had gotten out, due to the fact that I was finally no longer experiencing fatigue after that and could lay down and take deep breaths before taking a small nap and then finally getting a hold of myself. I am a pretty healthy individual and I have experienced food poisoning before but this was severe enough to question what was happening to me, I was afraid that I had gotten E. coli or something. It is aug 5 and I just got home from work after going in today despite how I felt last night. I don’t feel as nauseous as yesterday but I noticed that my stomach area feels sore (not my abdomen but my lower stomach area where I felt pain yesterday), and I had slightly less energy today as I normally do every other day. I had decided to report on this after my mom told me that after googling Panera bread, there was recent cases of severe food poisoning within 2018. I hope this helps someone cause I thought there was a possibility that i had something seriously wrong or life threatening happening to me. | Symptoms: Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Gas, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Weakness, Bile, Soreness
