Food Safety Report - PJ's Coffee, Mandeville Louisiana

I recently went to the Pjs Coffee location on Highway 59 Dove park on Thursday, June 18th. This was my first time at this specific Pjs location and I was in complete shock at the state of this store. I stopped by in the afternoon to grab myself a Coffee after a long day of work. I was very disgusted by most of how the store was kept. To start it off, everything just looked very dirty and Unclean. There were stains everywhere on the counters that were very accessible and visible to the customers. The workers seemed as if they didn't care that the area where the drinks were put down was sticky and filthy. I was taking a look at the Coffee wall and I couldn't help but notice a bunch of tiny nats/mites flying around and landing on some of the coffee boxes. At that point I was so disgusted I didn't even want any of the product there. When I ordered at the counter I had a good view of the area where the employees were and the floors seemed to match the overall dirtiness of the place. I also found that There were some of the same Nats swarming near the area where the blender and appliances are, Utterly gross. I ordered some kind of Latte and I had noticed that the utensils they used to stir and mix the drinks looked rusted and dirty, and they were being used in many different cups / syrups. I can only imagine what the back of the store looks like when no one is watching because if the staff doesn't care about what is visible to the customers in the front, I can't even begin to think what it looks like back there in their own comfort. Many other locations I've gone to such as the one on 22 and Hwy 21 are very well kept and I wouldn't even think that they would have their stores in such a condition that this one is. I looked up the ratings that this location has and I'm surprised it's not lower than 3.1 stars. Safe to say I will not be coming back to this location unless attention is brought to the dirtiness of it. Not sure who is keeping this store in business.
