My mother and I dined at the main Athos Restaurant dinner buffet at Porto Carras Meliton. We noticed multiple meat dishes were exceptionally salty. Approximately 12 to 14 hours after the meal, my mother experienced a sudden and violent onset of severe illness. She began with abnormal bowel movements, which rapidly progressed to continuous, severe vomiting (over 6 times in a row) and profound physical weakness. The rapid timeline and aggressive vomiting point to toxin-mediated food poisoning from improper temperature controls at the buffet.
