Food Safety Report - Pret a Manger, England

5 years ago reported by user-vqrfp963 business

Pret A Manger, Piccadilly Station, Manchester M1 2PH, United Kingdom

M1 2BN England, United Kingdom

I bought a chicken and rice soup, alongside a protein pot with chicken, egg and beans at 12noon, by 12.30pm I started with D&V, alongside fever. By 4pm my symptoms worsened and I had the first signs of blood appearing give the severity of the D&V. By 6pm I had lost energy, coordination and was severely dehydrated. I called 111 and was advised to visit A&E as a priority, I was in London with work, and alone. I was admitted to UCH hospital in London and food poisoning was diagnosed, I was discharged the following day.

I have never felt so ill and the symptoms are still ongoing as I type this. I have managed to travel from London to home today which is in excess of 300 miles, the longest journey of my life!

Someone will question if it was Pret no doubt, to help with the cynics I am currently on a diet and all I had eaten prior to the above was a fruit pot, and 2 boiled eggs also bought from Pret for my breakfast, and I have receipts for both purchases!

I can confidentially say I will never eat at Pret ever again which is such a shame. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Vomiting
