Grandview, Missouri, United States
Suspected food poisoning. Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, ChillsSuspected source: Pancake mix
Onset: Right away
Duration: 12 to 24 hours
Sick: Me
Additional information: On April 5th I made pancakes with San blas hot cakes or pancake mix, I didn’t even use eggs because I had none so I substituted one egg with part of a banana and I only was able to eat one pancake before I started getting sick. Within two hours after I ate the pancake I was throwing up violently and had diarrhea so bad. I was dry heaving and my stomach had very bad cramps. I started to get cold and then sweaty back and forth and was very weak. It lasted for at least 12 hours. I checked and the pancake mix isn’t expired. I don’t see any signs that it’s bad no bad smell not lumpy no obvious mold. I’ve never had food poisoning that was that severe ever in my life. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills

I doubt the pancake mix made you sick. Food poisoning doesn't work that way.It takes time to incubate after it moves through your system. And come on, don't be trying to make san blas look bad, that brand is great.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. While many foodborne illnesses do have longer incubation periods, some reactions, such as toxin-related food poisoning, chemical contamination, or food intolerances, can cause symptoms within a few hours. Public reports help identify potential patterns when multiple people experience similar issues. Hope this is helpful. Best, Iwaspoisoned Support.
