Scombroid Poisoning: Spicy Tuna - Sprouts Farmers Market, Phoenix Arizona

5 years ago reported by user-ptbmw269 business

Sprouts Farmers Market, North Tatum Boulevard, Phoenix, AZ 85032, USA

12415 North Tatum Boulevard, Phoenix, 85032 Arizona, United States

I ate a spicy tuna roll. Within 30 min, I got sudden chills but didn't think anything of it. 15 min after that, my face felt hot and my lips tingly. Soon, my ears also felt hot and my arm itched. I was horrified when I looked into the bathroom mirror and saw a sunburn like rash that spread from my face, all over my arms, down my chest and the upper part of my back. It was very red, no hives, and felt heated. I took a Benadryl and within 15 min, it immediately started to calm. I did get diarrhea later. I feel like this fits with scombroid poisoning and both the origin and care of the fish needs to be inspected. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Skin Rash, Chills
