I decided to try this place for lunch. I ordered a sandwich that had salmon as well as a salad. I should have known from the sloppy look of the food presentation, disgusting lack of cleanliness behind the counter, and non existent management that this place would be a nightmare. My sad excuse for a salad was a bowl of wilted greens. I had an actual lettuce leaf that was soggy and tasted of rot which I pulled out of my mouth. My salmon was obviously not fresh with a heavy fish odor... not what salmon should be! I did not even take more than 5 bites all together before asking to speak to the owner. I was told by their majority high school staff that the manager does not come in often. When I asked about my rotten food one of the workers informed me they are instructed by the OWNER to cut molded areas off cheese, use food past expiration dates if it still "looks ok", and there is no set standard for food safety. This is a horrible establishment! It needs to be closed down. I became very ill with fever, chills, vomiting and all over body cramps. I went to the ER and was admitted for two days due to my extreme food poisoning. This want to be café is going to kill someone with their lack of care for customer health and food safety. If the owners don't want to be involved then close it. It is obvious it is being run by morons who are incompetent. Stay far far away from this sh*t hole. Worst "café" in Pennsylvania! | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Cramps, Chills
