Food Safety Report - Texas Roadhouse, Ames Iowa

1 year ago reported by user-dhzrr391 business

Texas Roadhouse, South Duff Avenue, Ames, IA, USA

519 South Duff Avenue, Ames, 50010 Iowa, United States

My daughter and I both had the Dallas fillet medium well, I had side salad and fries with mine and she had fried and green beans. We were there last night at around 6pm. My husband and 2 year old had different meals. I woke up at 3 am violently throwing up with severe stomach pain. I also had diarrhea. My daughter as of yet has not throw up but says she feels off. My husband and 2 year old are fine. My daughter and I were perfectly fine before eating there. I am a stay at home mom and rarely leave our home and she is home schooled from our home. This was our first time going out to eat or being in public in a full 9 days. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills

It might have been something you had for lunch the day before as well. Usually it takes 12-24 hours for most food borne illnesses.

Hi, thank you for your comments. You’re right that some foodborne illnesses have longer incubation periods, but others, like Staphylococcus aureus or norovirus, can cause symptoms within hours. Timing can vary depending on the pathogen Hope this is helpful and wish you a good day! Best, Iwaspoisoned Support.
