Appendicitis After Takeout Meal - The Meatball Shop, New York New York

5 years ago reported by user-pcbw4714 business

The Meatball Shop, 9th Avenue, New York, NY, USA

200 9th Avenue, New York, 10011 New York, United States

My son who lives in Jersey City with his wife visited his younger brother who just moved in Chelsea. It was his first trip from staying in place since mid-March. They decided to do take-out Wednesday and ordered 7:15 pm. My oldest son ordered pork in pesto and classic. He returned to his home Thursday. From Morning to late evening he was vomiting. He called Cigna Telehealth and they said wait 24 hours. By late evening the pain was so bad his wife called 911 and he admitted to Jersey City Medical Center ER and after various blood tests and catscan they operated Friday morning at 7 am to remove his appendix (luckily it had not burst). He was released late last night and is home trying to recuperate and has to self quarantine as the Hospital also had covid patients. This location has had reports before and should be checked to see if they are using old meat or it has e-coli. I plan to also report this to my local councilperson and anyone else I can to ensure this is followed up | Symptoms: Vomiting
