Chili Cheese Fries Illness - The Varsity, Atlanta Georgia

My girlfriend and I ate there Sunday, December 13. After we ate ( She had chili cheese fries & I had a cheeseburger, hotdog, and fries. ) that evening we both at the same time started experiencing nausea, vomiting, diarrhea & upset stomach. We woke up Monday morning ( the 14th. ) only to have the vomiting go away, but the diarrhea and gassy, upset stomach was increased dramatically. I had to call out of work. I went to store when I had the opportunity of freedom from the restroom which we both practically “ lived in “ since Sunday night. Our symptoms lasted all day Monday and both started & subsided at the same time. Monday evening is when the symptoms started to fade after the whole day was spent in bed with a  stomach full of gas & pain, fighting over the toilet, and almost soiling our clothes. I was able to go to the store at one point to grab some pepto-bismol ( which I threw up too. ), Gatorade, sprite, soup, and toilet paper. I hardly ever get sick.. and diets are basically in sync and are healthy. We are never going back there that’s for sure. We think it was salmonella or E coli. Our symptoms & timing match three two little demons. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Other, Stomach Pain, Gas
