VUA Sandwichs et Sushi ready to eat meals recalled due to undeclared allergens

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in collaboration with the Food Inspection Division of the City of Montreal and VUA sandwiches located at 1579, Saint-Denis street, in Montreal, has issued a recall for various dishes due to the undeclared presence of wheat, eggs, mollusks, and mustard. As of now, no cases of allergic reactions associated with the consumption of these foods have been reported to MAPAQ.The affected products are:
- Banh bao pork and egg (Wheat) / Unitary
- Chicken Poke (Eggs and Mustard) / Unitary
- Chicken Yakisoba (Wheat, Molluscs - Oysters) / Unitary
All batches of these products are included in the recall if their labels do not mention the presence of the allergens. These items were sold packaged in bowl-like cardboard containers or wrapped in clear plastic wrap and were sold refrigerated.
People with an allergy to wheat, eggs, shellfish or mustard, or those with celiac disease or another illness induced by the ingestion of gluten are advised not to consume the recalled products. They must return it to the establishment where they bought it.
