11/16/2022, I ate my first cheese burger had the regular ,you know pickles,cheese, mustard, ketchup and things of that sort you know ? and I was fine but the second burger was giving me a feeling we’re I should had stopped eating but I proceeded to eat my second burger and felt so weird . So after I ate my last burger I drunk a cold bottle of water my stomach starts to hurt and I felt nauseous and had a strong stomach ache so bad I couldn’t even lay down and when I did I felt like I was going to throw up . My doctor later told me that ER could only give me anti nausea meds by injection because I would have vomited the oral meds. I could have had IV hydration but was so dehydrated it would be hard to start a line. We are also senior citizens. Other who ate it had severe diarrhea, no vomiting. I had severe stomach/muscular pain next day from hard contractions. Low back pain from straining/bending over toilet for hours. Found out through MRI that I actually fractured my spine from the violent thrusting. Contacted Dr. Praeger company. They asked if I could send remaining product back for testing. It had all been consumed. Their response to those of us who consumed their product and became I’ll was to send a coupon for a free product. The FSIS is issuing a public health alert because A & S Produce Inc., a Vernon, Calif. establishment conducting business as Greenland Food Company, produced and distributed fully cooked, frozen swai fried fish cutlet products without the benefit of federal inspection. A recall was not requested because... See More the products are no longer available for purchase. These products were sold at retail locations in California and through online sales. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
The recalled product is:
- 1-lb. vacuum-packed packages containing “Fried Fish Cutlet.” They were produced from July 2022 to September 2022 and have a shelf life of two years. They do not bear the establishment number or a USDA mark of inspection.
FSIS discovered the problem when it was conducting surveillance at an online retailer and found FSIS-regulated products without a USDA mark of inspection.
FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
If you are experiencing symptoms after eating the affected product it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist seek medical attention.
