Holy sh!t. I feel hot. Can't eat anything else, or I'll get debilitating cramps and pain and very suddenly erupt in the reddest diarrhea. Red mucus included. It was a normal sized bag, I ate half that bag...oh my God. I eat these often but this is new. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Cramps See Less

Because of this, I experienced nausea, sweating, excessive thirst, and mild dehydration. The nausea gave me a panic attack which then in term, worsened it. When I ate an orange while nauseous, my stomach decided to regurgitate it back up to my mouth (not vomiting since it wasn't completely digested) because of the fact I was nauseous due to the cheerios cereal. Then when I got in bed, I had to go to the bathroom. Regurgitated again.
Now I have been avoiding this brand since it is affecting my stomach.

Today I suspect it was a cool ranch papadia from here. It would seem the cool ranch steak papadia gave me diarrhea and nausea that did not go away with sleep. I did not vomit yet but I felt like I would on waking up everytime I went to sleep. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting See Less
I ate a in flight meal on VS 8 LAX to London Heathrow, this was the veggie tortellini pasta with cheese, olives, and tomato sauce option served with a salad and bread. The following day I was nauseous, and the following day I was vomiting non stop... See More to the point I had to go to the emergency room and get treated with an IV drip and morphine! The total for my hospital bill was over $36,000 USD! I was able to verify this as this was the only meal I ate that other people in my party didn’t eat or take a bite of. This was incredibly disappointing and I can’t believe that Virgin Atlantic ruined my first ever overseas trip. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting See Less

Additional information: I've been here about 8 times over the last year or so. This was our go to place in Monterey when... See More we want Japanese food. However, May 28, 2023 I had a really bad experience. I at the Triple Tuna which I have ordered before. It tasted fine as far as I could tell, but about 30-40 min after finishing lunch, I could tell my stomach wasn't feeling right.
I had one bout of the runs about 60-90 min after I finished eating. Things went south from there. Felt terrible, nausea, abdominal pain, then I got the chills really bad, like really bad. I called 911 for some medical advice, but food poisoning you just have to puke and poop it out and drink gatorade and water and wait for it to pass through your system. Still, the 911 operator sent an ambulance and they took my BP and did an EKG and gave me the usual advice. There was even 2 fireman with them! I quickly asked them to leave since I am sure they have more important calls to attend.
Why I won't be back. Though I've been a regular customer here. I called them yesterday and asked to speak to a manager. The guy who answered said, "there is no manager here today" and hung up. Great. I then called back and was shuffled to 3 different people when I told them I was sick after eating lunch at their restaurant. The last guy I talked to said someone would call me back. A woman called back as the paramedics were working on me so my wife took the call, but she basically said, "Our tuna is fresh!" so I must have gotten food poisoning somewhere else. Great. Thanks for the call. Hopefully this wasn't a part of a larger problem here.
No one from the restaurant has contacted me since I was poisoned.
It's now $30 per meal to eat at Crystal Fish and that's getting a bit pricey for me. Due to this experience with food poisoning and how the staff dealt with it - no apologies, no comped meal, no checking up on me the next day etc, they just lost a repeat customer. Anybody know of another Japanese restaurant in the area that you'd recommend?
Oddly, even though they have a website, I could not find an email address to contact them with. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Fever, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills See Less
Time and date: 7:20pm on 5/31/23
Food: Large Baja Blast, Fiesta Veggie Burrito, veggie Mexican Pizza, and Cinnabon Delights.
Symptoms: nausea, stomach cramps, fever like chills, mild heartburn and regurgitation.
What happened: Ate here for the first time in ages. I find their plant-based options bland and... See More I wasn't willing to spend extra on guacamole. So I opted for ordering items with some cheese/ sour cream. I avoid dairy normally, and I don't have lactose intolerance, so I thought my stomach could handle it alright. Everything tasted fine, nothing odd.
1-2 hours later I began to feel ill/off which quickly turned to nausea. I went to lie down for bed and the nausea was quickly intensifying. My forehead was covered in sweat, despite having chills.
My stomach began to cramp too at this point. Having experienced food poisoning before, I knew my body was on the brink of vomiting and definitely would if I got up to use the bathroom.
Despite better judgment, I fought to keep my food down (I was tired and just wanted to sleep; I also have a deep fear of vomiting). I did end up falling asleep but woke up around 3:30am with heartburn bothering my esophagus. I sat upright, coughed lightly, and had a moment of regurgitation.
My stomach still ached but it was far less than before. I was up another 2-3 hours, during which I drank almost 2 bottled waters.
Fell back asleep for a few hours. When I woke my stomach walls felt a bit sensitive but otherwise I felt okay. Ate some corn cereal with oatmilk and felt fine (same thing and only food I had the day before other than the taco bell). It's evening now and I still feel fine despite not vomiting or having bowel issues.
Not entirely sure what happened but I thought it best to report in case other people got sick, too. | Symptoms: Nausea, Fever, Vomiting, Cramps, Chills, Cough, Heartburn, Sweating, Stomach Pain See Less
