Outbreak
United States
The CDC published an update on the multistate outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to charcuterie meats, specifically to the Busseto and Fratelli Beretta brands. Since the last update, 23 more illnesses have been reported. As of January 17, 2024, a total of 47 people infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella have been reported from 22 states (AZ, CO, CT, ID, IL, KY, MD, MI, MN, MO, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, and WI). 10 have been hospitalized and no deaths have been reported. Illnesses started on dates ranging from November 20, 2023, to January 1, 2024.The products that may be contaminated include twin-packs of Busseto brand Charcuterie Sampler, sold at Sam’s Club, and the Fratelli Beretta brand Antipasto Gran Beretta sold at Costco. Both products are suspected to be contaminated with the Salmonella pathogen, affecting consumers across a wide geographical range. The ongoing investigations will identify if any additional products are contaminated.
Fratelli Barretta recalled a single lot of the Busseto brand Charcuterie Sampler because of testing by Minnesota that identified Salmonella in the product.
The CDC, along with other health officials, are advising the public to avoid consumption, sale, or serving of all lots of Busseto brand Charcuterie Sampler from Sam’s Club or Fratelli Beretta brand Antipasto Gran Beretta from Costco until the active investigation concludes. In response to the outbreak, Sam’s Club and Costco have removed these products from their stores. I can't tell if this is hamburger meat.

No, this is not hamburger meat. It's sliced salami, coppa or prosciutto. A cured ham. It's not beef at all.
🤔 You mean beef?
