Extreme food poisoning probably salmonella from a half gallon of Breyers mint chocolate ice cream. Purchased at Mountain View Safeway store on Tuesday. April 28. Ate a medium size serving at 8 PM and by 4 o'clock am I was experiencing symptoms. Diarrhea (mostly liquid) every 10 minutes and vomiting about every 20 minutes for the first six hours, then diarrhea every half hour or so For the next 10 hours. Diahreah once an hour for the next day and gutted bacteria is still not back to normal. Also had chills and aches plus headache first 20 hours. About 20% of the product was missing when I opened the container, as if it had melted completely and then been refrozen. I've seen at least one vendor open 12 or 15 doors at a time and leave them open for an hour in order to make his job easier, with no regard for all the product up and down an entire aisle being severely compromised..
