2017 年 9 月 3 日晚上 9 点左右去了东欧几里得的 Hardee "s，并购买了一个夏威夷鸡肉汉堡。我吃完后不久就上床睡觉了。当我在 9 月 4 日醒来时，我感到虚弱和摇摇欲坠。中午时分我有严重的腹泻，大约 3 点左右我开始呕吐。现在是 3:40，我还是感觉很不舒服。这导致我今天不得不在工作中打电话请病假，然后放出全日工资和由此产生的假日工资。
