I got food poisoning my 2nd day and had to be transported to the local hospital where I received antibiotics. I was told by 2 doctors I had food poisoning and a high level of bacteria in my body

fever and we were prescribed antibiotics for gastritis. She continued to get worse. We kept her hydrated enough to get her back home. Once we arrived in the US we took her to the emergency room. She was very sick and reports showed she had salmonella. She was hospitalized for 3 days and is still recovering at home. The doctor told us the antibiotic that was given to her actually slowed down the salmonella and made it worse by prolonging it. The only food she ate was from the buffet. There are birds flying all over in there, landing on food, we even had one poop in my husbands water. It was very unsanitary. It was the trip from hell that resulted in a hospital stay. We won’t be returning.

Both my husband and I started with nausea and diarrhea by the 3rd day into our stay at Dreams in Punta Cana. Still have cramping and diarrhea days later. Much of the food tasted bad and would never return.

5/20- while visiting this resort suddenly in the middle of the night started profusely vomiting, diarrhea, chills. Needed IV fluids, four days later still not feeling up to par. For the most part I ate the same food as my wife except for one Presidente beer that didn’t taste quite like the others.

Right now, Not sure. Our group of aprox 30 people are visiting Punta Cana Dreams Resort and are all throwing up. Not sure what we all have but it has to be something we ate or something we were all exposed to because all of us are throwing up and sick.

bartender handed me a drink and said, "try this." I took it from him and took one sip and immediately felt strange. I told my wife that I didn't feel right and needed to go to the room. I became violently ill vomiting with diarrhea which lasted the night. I was also extremely paranoid, feeling like I was going to die. I did not want her to leave my side all night. I did not sleep all night and by the grace of God I started to feel a little better the next morning and was able to shower and make it to the airport to fly home. I will never again go to the Dominican. This happened July 14th 2017. I told people at the time I thought I was poisoned and they thought I was nuts. Oh, by the way the night before I was jumped, hit over the head and robbed. Classy place. Never again.

Went to the Dominican for a wedding. Everyone from the wedding got sick. Me and my plus one got so incredibly sick with diarrhea, fever, body aches, and vomiting we couldn’t leave the room for days.
