Cold Starters, Severe Illness - Alabardero Beach Club Marbella, Marbella Andalucía

On Monday 29th December 2025 my family, 6 adults and two children (3.5 years and 22 months) sat down to each lunch on the terrace (San Pedro de Alcantara, Marbella). We ordered starters and main courses. The starters came out cold and barely edible. The main courses were also cold and two were sent back to the kitchen the rest were mainly left on the plate. Three of the adults did not eat any starters or main courses apart from the peppers de padron which were hot.The three adults and the baby all suffered from severe food poisoning for three days and one still not a 100% recovered today. Serving contaminated food to anyone is serious but to an infant is an extremely serious offence. There is no doubt that the food poisoning was caused by this restaurant as we are all together and ill hours after eating in this establishment. The three adults that have not suffered from the contamination did not eat and the other three plus the baby were all ill after visiting your establishment.
On Wednesday the 31st December I visited the restaurant to inform the management of the incident and reported the food poisoning (in fluent Spanish so it was clearly understood), this discussion took place with the manager Manuel who took my telephone number and confirmed the director would give me a call. To date no callback has taken place nor a response to my follow up email which was sent to the director.
One of the waiters on the day indicated a lot of food was sent back to the kitchen and apologised to my family. On reading the online reviews for this restaurant it is evident that there has been a number of food quality issues based on the poor reviews posted which I regret not reviewing in advance of the visit.
I really feel that this establishment needs to be investigated for food hygiene as there has been no action taken or even remorse for the illness caused and potentially putting an infant at such a high risk. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps
