On Sunday, February 14th at approximately 8:30pm, my party of two ate dinner at Applebee's restaurant in Crestwood, MO. I became seriously ill with food poisoning following the meal and was subsequently hospitalized on February 15th. I was discharged on February 16th after several rounds of IV antibiotics and fluids. I was advised by the gastric surgeon that the food poisoning almost certainly resulted from the food that was eaten at the restaurant based on the timeline of the illness- chiefly that I consumed spinach and artichoke dip (which the other member of my party did not consume) and developed severe stomach cramping, nausea, and pain approximately 5- 6 hours later. A CT scan conducted the evening of February 15th showed severe swelling of my intestinal lining and blood work showed an elevated white blood count- both indicative of food poisoning. | Symptoms: Nausea, Cramps, Swelling
