Seafood Illness at Event - BOXPARK Wembley, Wembley England

3 days ago reported by user-jnzth216 business

BOXPARK Wembley, Olympic Way, Wembley Park, Wembley, UK

Olympic Way, Wembley, HA9 0JT England, United Kingdom

I made a formal complaint following the purchase of two meals on the evening of 16th November 2025 from the Molo Fish & Chips unit at Boxpark Wembley. My experience is that at approximately 8:00pm, I purchased a fish and chips meal and a prawns and chips meal for a total of £26, which was shared between me and my partner. While eating the prawns meal, I became violently ill, experiencing continuous vomiting. The prawns did not taste right and had a mushy texture, which leads me to believe they were either out of date or improperly stored. I did not finish the meal and was told I passed out at the table before I started non-stop vomiting. My partner also had stomach ache with diarrhoea that night as he tasted my food. We were attending the 'For the Love of Jamaica' fundraising event, for which I had purchased tickets, and unfortunately missed most of the show - including the main performances - due to the sudden onset of food poisoning. The onsite first aiders were extremely helpful; they transported me outside in a wheelchair so I could get fresh air, I recall they checked my blood pressure which was low and asked about any pre-existing health conditions. It was extremely disappointed that a prominent food venue such as Boxpark Wembley subjected us to such a dangerous experience. I was so unwell that I was unable to attend work the next day. I wrote to them requested a full refund for the meals and appropriate compensation for the severe illness we both suffered, the distress caused: not forgetting the diarrhoea and the significant disruption to my evening, as I had been looking forward to enjoying the concert with friends. Since then, Box Park have been passing me backwards and forwards and, in the end, are only willing to give me a full refund of the meal and free Drinks in Box Part Wembley to the value of £75. I do not wish to return to Box Park and do not feel this is fair compensation for what could have killed me and the loss of enjoying the concert! They also have refused to provide me with a copy of the video footage of me being sick, which they state because of GDPR only the police can have it. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Fever
