Chili Soup Illness Suspected - Cafe Zupas, Cottonwood Heights Utah

1400 Fort Union Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, 84121 Utah, United States
This happened yesterday (Saturday , May 17, 2025) We ordered food from Cafe Zupas on Fort Union Boulevard, in Cottonwood Heights UT. The order was door dashed, so we had it out for delivery. My husband got the chicken enchilada chili soup and the brisket grilled cheese. My husband, who we think got the food poisoning, went to the Emergency room and no virus was detected. It looks to be something he ate. We ordered different soups and sandwiches. That was all he had to eat yesterday so we know it had to be that food he ate. He never throws up, so this is totally unusual. I've never seen him this sick. He got sick within 4-6 hours after eating. Symptoms include headache, vomiting and diarrhea, and fatigue. Even while trying to stay hydrated he has spent the entire day in bed-which he never does, it's so unlike him. Lack of appetite, no energy, and feeling easily cold, which is also unlike him.Update: I myself as well have gotten sick. It started with a headache last night. This morning was nausea and the chills. I did throw up, but since this happened in the morning not much came out, and diarrhea as well. It must have taken me longer to get sick from food poisoning from the food we ordered and ate last Saturday the 17th. I had the Wisconsin cauliflower soup and the veggie crunch sandwich. I remember actually thinking that my food didn't taste as good as it normally has in the past. Something about it just wasn't right. I just thought I should share this update.
Update May 29th, 2025:
I just thought I should give an update. My husband got the test results back the other day from his trip to the emergency room on May 18th. The tests show cleaning agents/materials were in the food. This would explain the burning in his throat and why he couldn't speak very well. His voice still sounds "cracky" and "rough" from what looks to have been a chemical food poisoning. Again, Cafe Zupas was the only food we had eaten that day. I didn't finish all my food like he did his...maybe that's why I didn't get as sick as he did, but still sick nonetheless. I'm surprised that other reports have not come through from that location. Not sure what to make of that. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting, Headache, Fatigue

Similarly in cafe zupas in Menomonee falls two days ago. My brother and I both ate a power bowl from there and both of us are vomiting, diarrhea, and with fevers.
Everyone is getting sick from Cafe Zupas, 3 people in my neighborhood reported symptoms in Saratoga Springs, UT. Report this to Zupas.
