Both my cousin and I ate chicken quesadilla, baked potato soup and chips and salsa. , Two of us got sick, her less than I. Ate same food exactly. Symptoms started at about 730 pm (ate lunch at 1 pm) with incontinence of massive loose stool. Diarrhea, explosive occurred daily approximately 5-6 times a day malodorous. Hospital 2xs for rehydration. Lost 20 lbs in six weeks. Not obese, looked emaciated. Went to ED within a week. Scan confirmed acute inflammation to colon. Dr said difficult to prove. Stool sample inconclusive. Went to PCP. Said not gastroenteritis. I cannot express how sick I became. When I went there, I was fine. Ate nothing that day and only had dinner nite before at home. I cooperated w records and with the help of a lawyer did not succeed bc I had given my records in good faith. The magistrate level was all I could afford in attempt to get bills paid. I had no medical insurance until a few weeks after being poisoned. Food poisoning is difficult to prove. Reviewed Allegheny County inspections and they had multiple violations. Chicken kept at warm temperatures and no paper towels at hand washing station. Lunch cost me 7,000 dollars. Thanks . I have heard horror stories about this place, mostly involving GI issues. I’m an RN so I am qualified to assess this food borne illness. My digestive system has been irrevocably damaged. The lawyer from them was aggressive and medically moronic. So I was only person at hearing w any medical background. I went through hell only to have them not accept any responsibility. If you get food poisoning, go straight to lawyer, call health department. Do not cooperate or even speak to their representatives. They are not your friend. Thanks. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Gas
