On July 21st I over indulged in all you can eat shrimp. My ankles and feet swelled a lot (swelling cleared up in about 24 hours). My ankles were about double in size. I was having regurgitation feeling food in my throat even 5 hours or more after eating. I started losing weight daily even when eating more calories. The smells of food made me so nauseous I felt I was going to throw up. My husband had to start cooking outside since it affected me so much. It has been 3 1/2 weeks. My voice got raspier I am guessing due to so much acid in my throat area. It got to the point I was afraid to eat.
My doctor said it sounded like I was having a bile dump and was concerned about my liver. Since my symptoms seemed to get worse with smells, continued green diarrhea, losing weight even with extra calories and the regurgitaion, I quit eating and also quit taking all supplements and either cut out or took less of my perscription in the hopes of clearing my system. I had nothing except water and some of my perscriptions for just over 3 days. I started eating again 3 days ago though have only had chicken broth, crackers and gatorade. Grandy Organics, makers of organic granolas, nuts and trail mixes based in the rural town of Hiram, Maine, announced today that they have retracted their recall of Gluten Free Honey Oat Granola that was publicized on November 5, 2023. After proper testing and cooperation with the FDA,... See More all Grandy Organics products, including Gluten Free Honey Oat Granola, are proven safe to consume.
Grandy Organics provided repacked samples of the product to the potential distributor who in turn had it tested at their labs for their own Quality Assurance records. Friday November 3rd the distributor informed Grandy Organics that traces of coconut were discovered at 6 parts per million in the Gluten Free Honey Oat sample they were given. In response, Grandy Organics swiftly contacted the FDA, initiated additional testing, and issued a recall to safeguard consumers. However, further testing revealed that the initial results were due to known cross-reactivity events with certain ingredients, causing a false positive for the coconut allergen.
The correct testing procedures confirmed that all Grandy Organics products, including the Gluten Free Honey Oat Granola, were free of allergens, as indicated on their packaging. The FDA reviewed the new data, finding no evidence of a violation, and supported Grandy

- 20-lb. carton boxes containing four packages of “SKYLINE PROVISIONS, INC. GROUND BEEF 81/19” with “ITEM # 000248” printed on the label.
- 20-lb. carton boxes containing four packages of “SKYLINE PROVISIONS, INC. GROUND BEEF 75/25” with “ITEM # 000293” printed on the label.
These products were produced and packed on Aug. 19, 2023, and bear establishment number “EST. 19300” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The problem was discovered after FSIS received a customer complaint reporting that a foreign object was found during food preparation.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in institutional freezers. Institutions are urged not to serve these products.
