My husband and I both ate a steak bowl there on Saturday 09/12/20 at 6:15PM. He had the guacamole and I didn’t. He woke up that night with extreme stomach cramps. He has had severe diarrhea, sweats, chills, body aches, high fever and has lost 13 pounds in 3 days. I called to find out if anyone else had reported getting sick but at the time no one had. We aren’t positive it was the guacamole but can’t think what else it could be. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Fever, Cramps, Chills, Sweating, Body Ache

Hello, I used to work at chipotle long time ago. And I am Hispanic who eats beans, rice and all the food chipotle serves. (It’s part of my culture) When customers reported food poisoning it was just really upset stomach from the spices and beans. People who don’t eat beans or spicy food on a regular get upset stomach , diarrhea, nausea, heavy sweating. What Hispanics like to say is that it’s cleansing your body . some people stomachs can’t tolerate the spices and beans . Another issue is the lettuce. Before, we used to chop and wash our own lettuce until the whole breakout happened. And then we went back to normal with cleaning our own lettuce. A lot of the employees do NOT clean the lettuce good. And it can get you extremely sick. Look up the ecoli 2015-2016. Chipotle hires a lot of young adults and everything is made the exact same day. You’re timed and rushed. A lot of people do not practice safe sanitation. And rush everything. Same with chicken , cooks rush and don’t let the chicken cook through. You can contact chipotle customer service and tell them what happened. If your husband is still sick and is at the hospital , chipotle will try to pay your bill or figure out what got him sick. They are very strict with this. They will try anything to investigate what got him sick. Good luck!
