I had my girlfriend order a chicken bake and a mocha freeze. I ate about three bites of it around 10:46 AM. After those bites I immediately felt bloated and confused it with being full. Throughout the day I felt full and gassy but I figured it was fine. Around 7:14 PM I reheated the chicken bake and it was obviously delicious so I finished the last 80% of it. It was not until around 8:25 PM when I started feeling a strong pain in my stomach. I was on the freeway five minutes away from my night class and the pain would not stop. It wasn’t the same pain from accidentally skipping meals or not eating in the correct time frame. This pain was different. I came to a quick conclusion that the cause may have been the cheese in the chicken bake, because I don’t consume dairy often. I figured I must’ve developed an allergic reaction to lactose since it’s natural to become lactose intolerant as we age. I am currently attending a technical college for medical assisting and coincidentally, the chapter we are studying this week is on nutrition which covers a section on lactose allergies. I waited 10-15 mins just in case the pain finally subsides. After an hour I informed my teacher (who has her doctorate) and she recognized my symptoms of food poisoning and excused me from class. From the moment I arrived home at 9:20 PM, my stomach was aching profusely almost like labor pains and I vomited immediately. I took an antacid to see if it would help at all but it didn’t work and my whole body was just aching. Even til now. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Gas, Bloating, Stomach Pain, Allergic Reaction, Burping
