- comments: observd boxes of food and drinks stored on the floor in the side dry storage closet near the bathrooms in dining area. Instructed manager to elevate all items at least 6 inches off the floor.
47. Food & non-food contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed, constructed & used
- comments: observed small wooden shelf used next to rear white standing cooler/freezer combo to not be easily cleanable and non absorbent. Observed the bottom shelf below the 2 comp sink in rear to be heavily damaged and exposing raw wood and rough surfaces. Observed 2 shelves in the basement walk in freezer to be heavily rusted and not smooth and easily cleanable. Instructed manager to replace/provide smooth, easily cleanable, and non absobent replacements for damaged/not smooth shelves.
51. Plumbing installed; proper backflow devices
- comments: observed 2 leaks in the following areas: leak from base of spout at 3 comp sink and leak at hot water handle of 2 comp sink in rear prep area. Instructed manager to service both sinks and maintain in good repair.
55. Physical facilities installed, maintained & clean
- comments: observed exposed studs and peeled off frp panel next to toilet in the mens bathroom at time of inspection. Instructed manager to repair/replace to encase all exposed studs and provide a smooth and easily cleanable surface.
56. Adequate ventilation & lighting; designated areas used
- comments: observed some personal items, bags, and sweaters stored next to and on boxes of single service items in the side dry storage closet next to the bathrooms. Instructed manager to designate area for all personal items and ensure employees store in designated areas.
