Ate an Amy’s Cheese Enchilada frozen entree and became very I’ll with diarrhea and very severe abdominal pain lasting over 4 hours. Developed indigestion about 20 minutes after eating the enchilada. Soon developed diarrhea. Two episodes. Took Pepto Bismol. Severe abdominal pain developed which lasted over 4 hours. Still experiencing excessive gas and feeling very fatigued. No fever.Update 04/24: I did not eat there. This place is the grocery store where I purchased the frozen entree which poisoned me. I ate the Cheese Enchilada frozen entree on the evening of 04/21/2022. Then, I experienced diarrhea and extremely severe gastrointestinal pain over a period of approximately 6 hours. However, I did not have fever, nor did I have nausea or vomiting. The next morning (04/22) I phoned my health plan and spoke with an advice nurse who arranged a phone appointment with a physician later in the day. He recommended resting and drinking plenty of fluids, along with not ingesting any dairy products for the next two weeks. No stool culture was taken, and no lab work was ordered because I was already feeling better and did not require an ER visit. I attempted to notify the company that produced the cheese enchilada: Amy’s Kitchen. I went on their web-site and tried to fill out a “disappointed with product form”. When I had nearly finished, the form asked for an uploaded photo of the product container. When I attempted to photograph it, the entire form disappeared! I gave up! On the afternoon of 04/22, I returned to Grocery Outlet with my receipt and the entree’s box. I explained that I became extremely sick after eating the cheese enchilada. I showed the manager to product packaging. The expiration date on the container was confusing because there was one date on a flap (01/03/2022) and another date stamped in a color that blended in with the photo and design on the box to the extent that it literally “camouflaged” the date. I never detected it. The manager, however, pointed out that the “camouflaged” date said 02/24. Grocery Outlet took the box. I requested, and received, a refund of the purchase price. I retained the receipt from the product’s purchase on 04/19/2022. However, I bought lots of groceries on that shopping trip. So the receipt is quite long, and I can’t imagine how I could upload a photo of it! The container (inside the box) in which the enchilada was microwaved was discarded with other trash the next day. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fatigue, Indigestion, Gas, Other, Stomach Pain
