Report date: Jan 21, 20268. Hands clean & properly washed
- comments: observed poor hygienic practices; observed food handler at front serving lines performing multiple tasks, moving in and out of the kitchen prep area changing dirty gloves then returned to the front serving lines to continue serving foods all without washing hands. Must wash hands after every possible contamination. Manager corrected the issue. Priority violation 7-38-010.
10. Adequate handwashing sinks properly supplied and accessible
- comments: observed no handwashing sink at front food serving line. Handwashing sink is needed in open food dispensing area. Instructed to provide a handwashing sink properly equipped with soap, handpaper towels and required signage. Priority foundation violation 7-38-030(c). (engineer was made aware at this time). (**see comments).
38. Insects, rodents, & animals not present
- comments: observed evidence of pest activity on the premises. Observed approx. 30 rodent (mice) droppings on the floors inside the rear dry storage rooms adjacent to the kitchen prep area and approx:20 rodent (mice) droppings on the floors underneath the storage racks inside the storage closets located next to the serving lines in the lunch room. Instructed management to detail clean and remove evidence of pest activity and sanitize affected areas. Additional pest control service is now recommended. Priority foundation violation 7-38-020(a).
38. Insects, rodents, & animals not present
- comments: observed damaged weatherstrip at bottom of the north exit door leads to the garbage dumpsters located in the lunchroom. Instructed to make door tight fitting to prevent pest entry and maintain.
56. Adequate ventilation & lighting; designated areas used
- comments: observed dim lighting inside the walk-in-cooler. Instructed to provide and maintan adequate lighting at all times.
