Salad Bar Illness: Sisters - salata, Houston Texas

8 years ago reported by user-fhjj8915 business

Salata, 2617 West Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, TX, United States

2617 West Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, 77025 Texas, United States

My sister and I ate salads for dinner at 5 pm on November 29. We both previously enjoyed meals at Salata with no problems (a salad bar type of restaurant). However, at 2 am on November 30, we both woke up with symptoms of food poisoning (having had no signs of illness until this point). Subsequently, we both experienced stomach cramping, nausea and extreme vomiting over the course of several hours. My sister also had diarrhea. We were both very weak the following day and couldn't eat anything for over 24 hours. I reported this to the manager and he said no one else reported illness. He checked temperatures on the salad bar items and said that everything appeared in order. Items we ate in common included kale, bean sprouts, kidney beans and garbanzo beans. We aren't sure about other salad items we may have had in common as we were too sick to contemplate further. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Other, Cramps, Weakness
