Vegan Risotto Illness Suspected - Story Centre Restaurant, Funchal Madeira

Last Thursday evening I came with family to eat and ordered vegetarian risotto. It tasted fine at the time but hours later I was woken by nausea and knowing I would throw up. I had to get up to throw up 6-7 times overnight. My body was clearly purging the bacteria from my body. I felt absolutely awful and still really unwell the next day and felt very out of it for days, it ruined the end of my holiday as I had no energy and could only eat very small amounts of bland food. A week later I do not have my full appetite back. There is nothing else it could have been and I expect a large batch of rice was cooked and left out so bacteria could grow. My partner challenge the restaurant maitre'd today and was told no it couldn't be the rice it must be the cream (I think it was vegan). I would like this restaurant's health and safety processes to be investigated. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Fever, Headache
