Chalupa Cheese Unmelted Concerns - Taco Bell, Lathrop California

4 years ago reported by user-rpcq2488 business

Taco Bell, South Harlan Road, Lathrop, CA, USA

16905 South Harlan Road, Lathrop, 95330 California, United States

This was the only restaurant I ate at yesterday. They had an incredibly long line when I pulled up so I’m not sure if that had anything to do with it. My order was 2 naked chicken chalupas, no lettuce or tomato, add three cheese blend, a side of chips and nacho cheese, another side of nacho cheese, and a baja blast freeze. Nothing about my order seemed particularly off, other than the cheese in the chalupas being unmelted (which is unusual considering if they’re freshly fried the cheese is fully melted from the heat of the chicken shell). I’m thinking the workers were cutting corners and gave me chicken that had been resting under heat lamps for far too long. I used to work fast food so I get it, the rush can be a lot, and customers are awful, and with the boss riding your a*s to go as fast as possible, corners are going to be cut. While it’s passable to refry something for a minute or so before serving it fresh, leaving food resting under a heat lamp for too long breeds bacteria and leads to food poisoning. :( Felt off shortly after eating but thought that was just typical fast food crash, and went to sleep. Woke up at 2 am, nauseous and with diarrhea, thinking maybe I just needed water or something, but after trying to treat my symptoms to no avail and having consistent nausea since waking, I’ve had to accept that I’m experiencing food poisoning. My nausea is only worsening as well, making me think I’ll need to go to urgent care shortly. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Other
