Public Health officials have completed an investigation into a gastrointestinal illness outbreak linked to Sushi%AYCE/All You Can Eat, located at 660 S King St, Seattle, WA. Seven individuals reported symptoms after dining at the restaurant on May 16, 2026. The specific pathogen remains unidentified.The outbreak, which resulted in symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps, affected patrons between May 17 and May 21, 2026. Public Health conducted interviews with five of the affected individuals to gather information about their symptoms and food consumption. The investigation did not identify any sick restaurant workers or specific food items responsible for the illnesses.
The problem was discovered following reports from the affected individuals. A subsequent inspection on June 10 revealed several food safety violations, including improper handwashing practices, lack of sanitizer, and inadequate cleaning of utensils and surfaces. Additionally, ready-to-eat foods were not properly labeled or washed. The restaurant addressed these issues following guidance from Public Health, and a follow-up inspection on June 22 confirmed compliance with food safety standards.
