Nine confirmed cases have been reported, with seven hospitalizations. The affected individuals experienced symptoms between March 30 and April 5, 2026, in Hamilton, Ontario.

The outbreak has prompted the temporary closure of Piper Arms Stoney Creek as of April 13, 2026, to facilitate a thorough investigation and safeguard public health. Inspections were conducted on April 10 and April 13, 2026. Public Health officials are collaborating with the restaurant to assess food handling and sanitation practices, and food samples have been collected for laboratory analysis. No specific food item has yet been identified as the source of the outbreak.

The issue was discovered following reports of illness from individuals who dined at the restaurant. Hamilton Public Health is continuing its investigation to determine the source of the Salmonella infections.
