The outbreak has been traced back to eggs from Laerco BV, which issued a recall for eggs stamped with specific codes due to potential Salmonella contamination. The affected codes are "2-BE-1073-01", "2-BE-1073-02", "2-BE-1073-03", and "2-BE-1073-04", with best-before dates ranging from May 8 to June 5, 2026. The eggs were also distributed to France, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. Measures such as FASFC supervision, limited contact with flocks, and cleaning and disinfection of premises have been implemented at Laerco BV.
