Cocoa Puffs

Today 10 minutes ago, Cocoa puff cereal After throwing up and diarrhea I got the chills | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Chills, Nausea, Vomiting See Less

I know that there have been a lot of recent reports of illnesses from boxes of Cocoa Puffs and Lucky Charms, however, these cereals have made me sick after eating them for the past couple of years which is why I don't eat them so much anymore.... See More Thinking it would be a good pick-me-up in the morning with my busy schedule, I recently bought two packs of cereal bars- one of Cocoa Puffs and one Lucky Charms- a couple of weeks ago, from a local grocery store, and once again, every time I eat them, I feel incredibly sick. I start feeling extremely nauseous and dizzy, and I also experience heart palpitations and near fainting spells to the point where I need to lie down because standing makes me feel worse.

While this may very well be an indicator of a condition that I may have that I don't know about (I will definitely make an appointment with my doctor in regards to this because I'm almost sure that the cereal is not the only culprit to blame), I do feel that all sugary cereals that are marketed to children and other popularly consumed foods need to be investigated due to the mere fact that these cereals contain very high levels of sugar and other ingredients that may not be fit for human consumption. (For example, many cereals contain Trisodium Phosphate (TSP)- also a common ingredient in fast food and other processed foods- and while it is considered a food additive that is safe for consumption in small amounts, over time this can be considered to be incredibly dangerous to consume and is linked to conditions such as kidney damage, and other conditions that the public should be more informed about. For a source on this, please see: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

New Cocoa Puffs makes my stomach hurt!
I've never had this problem with the old version, but the new cocoa puffs not only look and taste repulsive (and they've became smaller too) but they give me stomach aches for hours most times when I eat them! Today... See More I have a bit of an upset stomach, but I didn't consume as many since I ran out.
Some of the newer cocoa puffs have weird black gunk things attached to them too! And I can tell those black spot things are likely not safe to consume..
I've been having this problem for a long time. Not specific to any store, but in Sherburne County in Minnesota. This problem I've been having more with the brand than a store. | Symptoms: Stomach Pain

The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 2,400 pounds of ready-to-eat ham and cheese loaf products by Kraft Heinz Foods Company, a Kirksville, Mo. due to possible cross-contamination with under-processed products. These products were shipped to distribution centers in Ohio and Virginia and further distributed for retail... See More sales. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

The following products are subject to recall:
• 16-oz. rigid vacuum-packed packages containing “Oscar Mayer Ham & Cheese LOAF” with codes from “07 Feb 2023 20:40 7B” through “07 Feb 2023 22:16 7B” on the label.

The ready-to-eat ham and cheese loaf products were produced on Oct. 10, 2022.

The problem was discovered when the establishment notified FSIS that the product was sliced on the same equipment as product that had been under processed, and the equipment was not cleaned between runs of the under-processed and fully cooked product.

FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
