About 12 years ago, I went to Dominican Republic for vacation. I needed some rest; but was very healthy.

de regresar a nuestra habitación, comencé a vomitar, experimenté dolor abdominal, sudoración, mareos y diarrea. Estuve enfermo el resto de la semana allí.
Después de llegar a casa, terminé con fiebre por encima de los 104° F, mis dedos estaban fríos y descoloridos, y estaba fatigado y débil con una pérdida de peso de 15 a 20 libras.
Terminé en el hospital con sepsis que afectó al hígado, los pulmones (neumonía), el corazón (CHF), el tracto urinario y la infección renal identificada como BLEE.
¡El médico de infecciones dijo que si esperaba mucho más me habría muerto! Estuve hospitalizado casi una semana y luego continué con el tratamiento antibiótico intravenoso durante 3 semanas después.
Muchos del resort tuvieron varias etapas de los mismos síntomas, ¡incluida la fiesta de bodas!
La mayoría bebía de los bares del resort y comía de bufets en el resort.
Les digo esto debido a las muertes reportadas por enfermedades en los centros turísticos de Punta Cana.

alcohol and chocolates. I said something to him as well as his manager advising that i did not feel comfortable having him in our room while we were gone especially since he was not housekeeping.

I have had food poisoning before but knew this wasnt anything close to it because I didnt not feel a 1005 until 3 weeks later. It happened on the last night of our vacation 3/31/19, Originally I thought it was cross-contamination from the shrimp that was cooked as I have an allergy to that. But we told the chef that. There were others not in my party who also said they had an allergy.

not eat or drink anything the whole day I was sick. I started to feel a little better, I could at least stand up, always nauseous and had terrible diarrhea so couldn’t go very far from our room. My husband wanted to workout the next day so I went with him to the gym. I still felt ill so I could not work out even though I am an extremely active and fit individual. While I was at the gym just standing there with my husband, one of the workers was recording me with his cell phone and making sexual gestures at me. My husband said something to the worker and we went immediately to management. They basically did nothing besides relocate him to another part of the resort and told us to stay away from that part of the resort. I felt extremely unsafe the whole time I was there and never left my husbands side. Once I started eating and drinking again, the sickness came back. We were there for a week. When we came back to the states I continued to have symptoms for another full week until I went to my doctor and was prescribed an antibiotic. I lost over 10 pounds. I would never go back there even if the trip was free! We reported the entire trip to our travel agent who did nothing.....very upsetting.

we got home (~12 hours later), he was feeling better. Our other son was fine until we got home. Then, he started with diarrhea and violent vomiting overnight. His diarrhea lasted for 4-5 days. Put a real damper on an otherwise awesome vacation.
