October 22nd, 2025:
Ocean's Kitchen Corp. is recalling its Imitation Crabmeat Shredded product due to potential contamination with Clostridium botulinum. The product was distributed in Washington state in the United States. The recall was initiated voluntarily by the company and is currently ongoing.

AFFECTED PRODUCT:

PRODUCT: Oceans Kitchen Imitation Crabmeat Shredded Made From Wild Fish (Refrigerated, vacuum package)
- Size: 2.5 lb bags (12 bags per case, 30 lb per case)
- UPC: 190456756542 (bag), 14972195756549 (case)
- Use by date: OCT 23 2025, OCT 31 2025, NOV 6 2025
- Best if used by: 10/23/2025, 10/31/2025, 11/6/2025
- Lot: CH062525, CH070325, CH070925
- A total of 496 cases are being recalled.

The issue was discovered due to a risk of temperature abuse during chilled storage at the firm, which could lead to contamination. The recall was initiated on September 30, 2025.
