P.E. & F Inc., operating as DiMare's Specialty Foods, has issued a public health alert for frozen pork and beef tortellini due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The product, distributed to stores in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin in the United States, may contain soy and sesame, which are not listed on the label.The affected product is:
- "Schnucks Tortellini PORK & BEEF"
- 16-oz. bag
- With a best-by date of 05/27/2026.
- It bears the establishment number "EST. 13051" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
- The issue involves a potential mix-up with pork and beef toasted ravioli.
The alert was initiated after a consumer complaint revealed the labeling error. The alert was issued on July 30, 2025, but a recall was not requested as the products are no longer available for purchase.
