Station Service Michaud Products recalled due to Defective Packaging and Clostridium Botulinum

Station Service Michaud has issued a recall for brined crab and smoked salmon due to safety concerns. The products, sold exclusively at their Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac location, may pose health risks due to potential Clostridium botulinum contamination and improper labeling.

PRODUCT: Crab in brine
- Format: Unitary
- Lot Targeted: Unit sold until June 17, 2026
- This product could promote the growth of Clostridium botulinum bacteria.
- The crab was packaged in a glass jar with a metal lid and sold refrigerated.

PRODUCT: Smoked salmon
- Format: Unitary
- Lot Targeted: All batches whose packaging does not bear the statement "Keep frozen until use"
- It has not been kept frozen at all times since purchase. The information required for safe consumption, namely the statement "Keep frozen until ready to use," is not present on the packaging.
- The salmon, placed on a silver cardboard base, was vacuum-sealed in a clear plastic bag and sold frozen.

The recall is classified as Class I.
