My daughter and I became violently ill after sharing some salad with cheese tomatoes and lettuce. She also picked at her plate, because she said it smelled bad. She had eggs and potatoes, but wouldn't really eat it. My salad smelled pretty bad, and I couldn't barely eat it. It was expensive, so I tried to at least eat the lettuce and cheese. We both had projectile vomiting, and of course diarrhea. It landed both of us in the ER, and we had to have IVs, and anti vomiting medicine. She is petite, at 6 years old, and was becoming quite faint after not being able to even keep water down.
Because our server had only visited our table 4 times(taking order, dropping off drinks, dropping off food, and delivering the bill), we never really had a chance to discuss the nasty smelling, over salted, over cooked(patty with the salad)murky ice tea drinks, or anything else.
I called the manager in hopes of warning them because they have an elderly clientele. All she did was give me another managers number, supposedly the GM. I called her, notifying her we were heading to the ER soon, and she said, "sorry about that."
Well, yeah, thanks for your "diligent concern", for people trusting the cleanliness and sanitation of your food. Especially after a pandemic!
I shared with her we even noticed a maintenance man, standing in full street shoes, on a table during our visit, repairing some light bulbs. This wouldn't be an issue, except it was during business hours, nothing covering the table, or his shoe bottoms. I'm certain no disinfectant used after, as we had watched the booth we sat in get cleared and wiped with the most disgusting rag I'd seen in a while. So I'm pretty sure given that type of carelessness, it was most likely given to the next unsuspecting party, upon arrival.
All and all, it's been a little over 72 hours, and we are just now eating soups and breads to be safe on our stomachs. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Other
