Pork BBQ Food Poisoning - El Nido Grill @Lio, El Nido MIMAROPA

6 years ago reported by user-jdzyc241 business

El Nido Grill @Lio, El Nido, Palawan, Philippines

El Nido, MIMAROPA, Philippines

Came in on June 18,2019 at 2030. My boyfriend and and I ordered chicken sinigang and one stick of pork barbecue. We each also ordered one cup of rice. We were feeling good that time but then my boyfriend and I noticed the pork barbecue did not taste right. Even upon receiving, the barbecue was not very hot, more like room temperature. We proceeded with eating our meal thinking maybe the pork barbecue just got a little cool because it had to wait for the sinigang to cook. After paying our bill and going back to our resort, my boyfriend woke up in the middle of morning, maybe at 1 am and started vomiting. It then proceeded with many episodes of diarrhea. From that time to noon, he has vomited at least 8 times and had diarrhea 10 times. For me, diarrhea did not occur until around 6 in the morning. Even today 7/20, we still have diarrhea. We are feeling very ill, we have abdominal pain, sweating, very dizzy and our bodies are so weak that we have to go visit a doctor. We are very dehydrated and cannot keep the food down. My boyfriend and I are 99% sure that we got food poisoned from the restaurant because we felt really good all day until we ingested their food. We are thinking it maybe due to the pork barbecue that was not cooked thoroughly or it got cross contaminated with uncooked pork or other raw foods. Or maybe the sinigang water they used was tap water that did not reach the required boiling point. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Dehydration, Dizziness, Sweating, Stomach Pain, Weakness
