Bacon Cheeseburger Illness Report - Five Guys, Nottingham England

1 week ago reported by user-cwxk1688 business

Five Guys Burgers and Fries Nottingham Showcase, Five Guys, Redfield Way, Nottingham, UK

Redfield Way, Nottingham, NG7 2UW England, United Kingdom

I ate at the restaurant at approximately 7.30PM on 12th April 2026. I had a bacon cheeseburger, Cajun fries and a salted caramel banana milkshake. Between the time of eating the food and going to sleep that evening I felt absolutely fine. I wasn’t showing or feeling any signs/symptoms of having caught a viral illness in the days previous either. I woke up at 6.00AM the morning after having Five Guys with a raging thirst. I drank a good amount of water and fell asleep for another hour. When I woke the second time I was feeling incredibly nauseous, which lead to me violently vomiting. Approximately two hours later I started to have very watery diarrhoea and I vomited a second time. I did not vomit any more times after this but the watery diarrhoea was incredibly regular and continued for around 36 hours. I have now been off work for three days and I’m clear of the typical food poisoning symptoms but I am still suffering from loss of appetite, lethargy and body aches. The rapid onset of the symptoms and the relatively quick recovery lead me to believe it was food poisoning and not a virus. Like my body was purging itself of toxins. The only food I consumed within this timeframe was the Five Guys I had on the evening of the 12th April. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Fever, Cramps, Chills, Loss of Appetite, Body Ache
