Resort Food Quality Issues - Hotel, Punta Cana La Altagracia

1 week ago reported by user-pqqmh984 business

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, Km 28, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

74 Boulevard Turístico del Este, Punta Cana, 23000 La Altagracia, Dominican Republic

The resort is beautiful, huge and well maintained. BUT FOOD IS TERRIBLE!
Meats were processed to the point where you could not tell the difference between chicken, turkey, or anything else. Bread was ok, and juices were mass-produced rather than fresh. The orange juice at one buffet was nearly clear with strange yellow chunks, completely undrinkable. There was also something consistently off about the texture and quality of the beef and, at times, the chicken, noticeably different from food we had off property, which highlights that this is a sourcing and quality issue specific to the resort.

Drinks followed the same pattern. Everything was overly sweet, syrup-heavy, and made with low-quality alcohol. Premium liquor is advertised as included, yet none of the pool bars had it stocked. If you wanted a decent drink, you had to leave the pool and walk back to the main hotel. We ended up purchasing our own ingredients just to make something drinkable, at an all-inclusive resort.

I do not expect Michelin quality meals at an all-inclusive resort however the entire property feels like a high-volume operation where quantity has completely overtaken quality. | Symptoms: Nausea, Stomach Pain, Fever, Cramps, Chills, Headache
