Pork Belly Illness Suspected - Isabelle's, Gulfport Florida

6 years ago reported by user-knbcy142 business

Isabelle's, Beach Boulevard South, Gulfport, FL, USA

2937 Beach Boulevard South, Gulfport, 33707 Florida, United States

We ordered extra food to taste a little bit of everything.
Pork belly bites
Corn bread with butter
Cucumber and tomato salad
Short ribs
Mac and cheese
Mashed sweet potatoes
I have a ton of leftovers that I will be throwing away due to this food poisoning. I was up all night with severe cramping and diarrhea. I didn’t eat anything else during the day. Whatever caused me to get sick is from this restaurant. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Cramps

While this guest believes her intestinal distress could only have come from this meal, it is more likely that if she did have food poisoning she could have been exposed several days before. It can be very difficult to know where a Food borne illness was contracted due to the long time before symptoms appear. See the below chart from this website and the FDA. Lack of knowledge about food born illnesses and the time frames involved can cause people to make false accusations . https://www.fda.gov/food/resourcesforyou/consumers/ucm103263.htm
