Not sure … maybe this / Zinger rice box with salad Ate rice box on 1st August at around 19:35 and the following day was gassy and stomach felt knotted and was like this for 2 days. Then on 4th August at 12am I woke up very unwell and shivery, I nearly lost consciousness (fainted) and grabbed hold of kitchen side and slid to floor. Since then, severe diarrhoea and headaches and fever up to 102 F (38C to 39C) still have abdominal cramps and diarrhoea today (6th August) had a negative Covid PCR test on 4th August and sent a stool sample to GP on 6th August to determine the pathogen / cause. Never felt so ill in all my life…

08/23 Update: Update regarding hospital admission and serious food poisoning:
Campylobacter was confirmed following stool sample. I am lucky to be alive as I was hospitalised due to this. I previously wrote a notification about food poisoning after having severe diarrhoea for 6 days but I didn’t realise the worst was yet to come.. it is important I update you as good poisoning can be very very serious and a lot more serious than a viral tummy bug. Some people can end up hospitalised - and I am healthy and only 39 years old! Please be careful with your food! I had diarrhoea along with fainting and black blood in my stools with a high fever. No vomiting but still very very ill and weak and tried to top up my fluids and electrolytes but struggled as I was too sick… On the 6th day I thought I might get better and then I thought I was having a stroke as I lost my coordination and kept falling over. I was home alone when this happened and had slurred speech. I called 111 and they told me to call 999. I crawled onto my driveway and was having seizures, involuntary muscle contractures/spasms nystagmus and parasthesias and vomiting started … I was vomiting in between fits in the ambulance, pulling faces as my tongue and jaw were all doing their own thing and I had the worst headache of my entire life. I was in hospital for 2 nights after being told my phosphate levels were critically low and I could have had a heart attack or died. I’m slowly recovering and have just started speaking normally again (although my handwriting is still awful)… while recovering I have struggled to put my key in the lock, walk distances, wash my hair, clean, prepare food… I haven’t been able to sew in school labels - I even bit all the inside of my mouth trying to eat! It was the worst experience of my life. I only had a zinger rice box with salad at KFC for goodness sake. It’s not the first time I’ve had it (it smelled and looked ok and was cooked) and I then came down with Campylobacter 2 days later after eating it. I am aware that the staff at KFC are a bit dopey so they obviously didn’t follow appropriate food hygiene practices! I had severe symptoms for 6 days and then the gastric symptoms stopped and I developed these neurological symptoms afterwards. I was so weak I could barely lift a blanket. I am so angry and upset with KFC. I know it was their food because before I ate that I was living off home-cooked vegetarian food. I haven’t even eaten any chicken for at least 6 months prior to that KFC and I’ve been a cook for 3 decades and know my stuff - I am always very hygienic in the kitchen and have never ever given myself food poisoning! Campylobacter is usually from undercooked chicken or from contamination of raw chicken into to other foods (like raw chicken getting into things like salad or raw chicken getting onto chicken that’s already cooked)
I nearly died and nearly left 2 children without a mum .. it’s unforgivable really. They are too big a company and will continue to get away with this. | Symptoms: Fever, Cramps, Headache, Gas, Diarrhea, Other, Vomiting, Weakness
